MLK Historic March and More

The annual MLK Day showcase event on January 20th saw more than 70 groups walking from the downtown square to the Martin Luther King Jr. Recreational Complex, where subsequent activities took place during the Day in the Park gathering.

The events in commemoration of Dr. King also included a food drive, a prayer breakfast, a wreath laying, a youth day and ecumenical services.

All of them were organized by the Martin Luther King Commemorative Committee and proceeds will help fund scholarships for local high school students.
